I Think I Have a Disease

Called "p.j.isitus".

Seriously, I am finding it hard to get out of my comfy pj's. With the kids not in school, I get up and do some surfing on the net (WHERE IS EVERYONE BTW?!) and time ends up flying by. The next thing you know it is noon and I am still walking around in my pyjamas. That is not good.

My hubby surprised me with a beautiful ring for Christmas and since then I have been waking up with swollen fingers (I have arthritis) and the ring is quite wide so it is uncomfortably tight. I'll be darned it that is going to stop me from wearing it -even though this pretty ring looks like it's perched atop a short, stubby cigar.

So, my New Year's resolutions for 2008 are:

1) Not to sweat the small stuff
2) Not to roll my eyes too much
3) To be more organized
4) Actually get dressed when I get out of bed

What the heck, there's no point in starting now. I'll wait for 2008 to officially start.

Enjoy your pj's girl!!!
I live in my footy pj's during the winter and this year for Christmas I got the most soft-i-est pink robe...yummmmmers!! Surfing the net and having more coffee!!!

I'm thinking a pj day (or two weeks) is good for a change! I've been dressed a few times since the holidays started but what's the sense when all we are doing is eating and playing Wii?! LOL!

I'm resolving not to make any resolutions. Go me!

Ah, my dear, yet another reason you and I get along...procrastination! lol I've been having to "force" myself to actually "get going" when I get up in the morning, because if I pop online "for just a minute", next thing you know it's just a couple of hours (or more!) yes, I get the pj thing. :)

Btw, told my best bud that she and I might just have to plan a little jaunt up San Francisco way in May--watch out! Or you could always add beautiful San Diego County to your itinerary. :)

We are all in bed still in our pj's, that is where we are. I didn't even get on the computer more than a couple of times over the break, that is how lazy I was! But it was HEAVENLY to be disconnected! :-)

Happy PJs!

Hey it is 6 in the morning and I am in my pj's at my computer - have been for an hour. It is 'pj' time of the year.

Happily admitting to my p.j. attire of flannel and hooded sweatshrit. Absolutely glorious and necessary after the festivities of Christmas.
Thank you for the smile

Oh Joy,
I had to laugh when I read your post....
I have p.j.itus too!
I took my shower this morning and put hubbys jammie pants on and a thermal shirt and he asked if I was going to get dressed reply.... Not unless I have to!
I am enjoying not haveing to get dressed!

I know, Joy, isn't it quiet these days? I think everyone is trying to get back to a normal routine after Christmas, I know I am. We just finished with our holiday travels on Friday & I'm ready to get everything cleared out of Christmas & back to normal.

Aw, it's OK to stay in those PJ's for awhile, that's part of the fun of the holidays.

Congrats on the bling!

Oh my goodness!! What you have must be contagious...or Canadian...or whatever, 'cause I have it too!! But I don't mind this disease, it feels pretty comfy and good!! Of course, I probably don't look so good to some... Oh well, it is a disease after all...

Enjoy the slower pace...we deserve it!!

I don't think I've worn anything but my pj's this past week and loved every minute of it!

Tomorrow it's time to don some normal clothes and hit the shops, I have some gifts to return and some money to spend so what better reason!!

I think there's an epidemic of pj-itis going on. If I HAVE to get dressed (say to go to work, they prefer I NOT wear pjs to the office), as soon as I get home, I'm back in the pjs- even it's 3 pm!

It is the perfect time of year for the PJs. Have a wonderful New Year!

Hi Joy! So nice to meet you! You have a lovely blog! I think it's good for you to hang out in your pj's a bit! It sounds like your new year resolutions should be mine too! My daughter tells me I roll my eyes... I don't realize I even do it! LOL! And I really need to stop fretting over the little stuff and to get more organized... I tell you what, you go first and tell me how you do and maybe I will jump in too! I try not to make new year resolutions. I hate to fail! LOL!

Oh Joy * darn you for making a list of resolutions :) Now I feel I must, too * well, okay, not really! :) Happy, Happy New Year to you & yours, I love reading about your life in Canada and all your junk-crafts. We were in Maine and I was telling my sister about you and how you constantly create something out of nothing * She's now a frequent visitor, albeit a lurker :), too! xoxoxox Patrice

Hi Joy...Happy New Year! I spent the week in pj's also and loved every minute of it! And...I too got a very unexspected ring for Christmas that I squeezed on. My finger looked like a sausage. So now I have to wait at least two weeks to have it resized...oh well that's quite alright! Enjoy! said...

Oh you poor thing, I have arthritist too, so know what you are going through. None of my rings fit anymore, I miss them!!

I'm stuck in the pj mode as often as I can be this time of year, it is the best way to stay warm!
