Vintage Finds and More....

I came across this vintage crocheted beauty yesterday and knew she had to be displayed in all her glory. After a good soak she ended up in this fav old gesso frame....

She doesn't really fit in here with my decorating so she is listed in my shop.

I bought this small accordion file folder a couple of weeks ago knowing I wanted to 'vintage' it up a bit...it's perfect for storing smaller papers or receipts.

I covered it in old wallpaper and trimmed it in old lace...also added some embellishments here and there...

And finally, one more bottle that needed a chic makeover. This is the perfect size for bubble bath or bath salts.

I just love the colors on this one. Creamy cream creme!

Great makeovers! Love all the pretties on the silver tray...and the wallpaper file--would be a great place to keep- what else?- wallpaper scraps.

I have always wanted to start a collection of old but chic or dressed up crystal or glass bottles.....Seeing what you are doing with these makes me want to buy them all!! Oh they are just gorgeous Joy - really fabulous job, and I love that you added the cream to this one. My favorite accessory with anything - the color cream! (Hey it matches anything you have, literally!!)

Right now I am doing all my things for the shop in Baby Blue, Ash Pink and Chocolate!! Is that Spring?? I don't know. I love those colors together though....
But anyway Doll - FABULOUS Job on the makeovers!!

Joy!
I had bookmarked your blog back in Oct(!) when it appeared on Creative Blogs. I've just now got around to reading it - and have spent the last couple days doin that! Whew that's a lot of posts.
What is cool is that I live close to you! I love having a blogger that I know the towns! I am about 1.5 from Ottawa renfrew way or 1.5 from Kingston south way.
We have alot in common too. I also sell collectibles on ebay, have a etsy shop and I am a junk junkie! I actually inherited a barn full of stuff from my grandfather and a store/building from my Dad. Now to just get it organized.
Your house is beautiful and your dog is hilarious! He would test my last nerve though.lol.
Talk soon,
Cheryl

What an assortment of delights! I just love the one-of-a-kind crocheted damsel. What a find. Oh, and crystal bottles are so extraordinary as bath salt decanters!
