I have an overabundance of clocks sitting around here (collecting dust) so I decided to take action. I took one apart to salvage the face and then thought of the idea of using the clock body as a frame for a photograph. I also have a quite a few souvenir photograph postcards laying around and decided they too should get in on the action.
So after puttering and creating I came up with the name for this new line - 'A Place in Time'.
I'll be adding these to the site very soon!
P.S. I will also be doing a more specific line called 'A Face in Time'. Just simply email me a loved one's photo and I can create a one of a kind clock frame just for you.

Hi! I have you listed under my "blogs I love"....I love your blog even more now!! I too found some old clocks and contiplated last night what I was going to do with them! I love your idea! I decided to decorate mine with rub on wording like "moments" and "dream" and then I applied a large flower in the middle where the hands use to be. I also glued on leaves to look like the hands of the clock. Thank you for a wonderful blog!

Hi Joy I've been following your blog and love the clocks, I do the same with pocket watches and then hang them. Great stuff. Have a great 4th of July!!! Kathy
clever clever clever clever clever girl!!! you come up with fabulous ideas Joy! xo
The title is every bit as cool as the piece of art!
They are really quite stunning...and so creative!!!
I kept an old clock for exactly this same purpose, although unlike you, I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it yet. I love old clocks, just the way they are with their faces intact, but this is also a great idea. Your refashioned alarms are far from alarming, they're very soothing. Lovely.
Now I am excited. a whole ball of wax for old non working clocks.
keep up the good work.
